Re: Send an Idoc after recienving an inbound one

Generally, the PO type field on sales order should say the method of creation - Phone, Fax, Email, IDoc etc. This field can be configured in the access sequence/ requirement routine to say that the output should be triggered only for specific input methods.

Thanks,

Juwin

Hi Gregor,

I had the same problem.

The installation guide does not mention HANA_ACT. Somebody should tell SAP!!

You should not require a Platinum level to know these things.

I added it and now everything works just fine.

Adding my thanks to Nick's,

Re: Configure Alerts in Excel Add-in

Hi Albert,

The alerts will be triggered only if the scenario raises an exception. Please make sure scenario meets the exception condition.

For Example - Capacity Overload Alert triggers only if the Capacity Demand is greater than the available Capacity Limit.

I am also copying below text from IBP - FAQ blog.  May be this will help too.

Key figure alerts are configured key figures that include a formula evaluation to determine if an alert exists.  Key figure alerts are visible in the webUI via the sidepanel and in the Excel UI.  These alerts are configured during the implementation.  The end user applies the alert in the Excel UI for the current planning view / filter.

Please check on this.

Thank you

Chile Asset Revaluation - Inflation

$

Hello,

we're implementing SAP in a company code from Chile and I have some doubts about the Inflation process.

We've mapped the depreciation areas for Chile:

01 -Fiscal book - local

30 - Group book

40 - Inflation

41 - (01 +40)

We want to calculate the inflation but don't change the amount from area 01.

I made the config but my doubts are:

- in OABW - only the area 40 should have the flags revalue APC and depreciation ?

-  in OAYR -  which area should have the flag "post revaluation"? (Just 01?)

- in AO90 -

I defined a revaluation APC as well as clearing account. The revaluation APC is a recon. account and the revaluation clearing a P&L.

I tried to do similarly creation for depreciation as accumulated and a normal P & L. But there I have areas 01 and 40... which one should have the accounts?

I could process the transaction J1AI, but when I try to run the bacth input session, I get an error

Parallel depreciation area 10 is not posted

I appreciate any comments.

Thanks in advance.

HTTP request failed after OData update() method

Hello,

I have a strange issue - after I use update() method of the sap.ui.model.odata.ODataModel class, I can't make read() from the OData model.

I use Northwind OData service, V2.

I can do as much read() actions as I want - everything works fine.

But after I update() for the first time after the page is loaded and try to make read(), I get the following error:

GET https://webidetesting<appname here>-<account name here>.dispatcher.hana.ondemand.com/nort…iexfh2tyudc5p4qhx5gdf))/OData/OData.svc/Products?$filter=(Rating%20eq%201) 500 (Internal Server Error)

HTTP Status 500 - HTTP protocol error occurred while connecting to remote host http://services.odata.org

When I reload the page and make read(), I can see that the update was successful.

Here is my update() method:

sap.ui.getCore().getModel("odata").update(            "/"+sSourceTable,            oUpdate,            {                    merge: true,                async: false,                success: function(){                 console.log("Success!");             },                  error: function(oError){                      console.log("Error!");                      console.log(oError);                  }            }        );

Any ideas why this may happen?

Thank you.

Does anyone know which dates this message is referring to?  Does it matter?

All but two are coming back as 1H and the others are 1G.

More information on SAP SolMan 7.1 SPS13 and single source of truth (SSOT)

Hi everyone-

I am looking for whatever information I can get about the SAP concept of 'single source of truth'. I can't seem to find any documents with a clear explanation!

I am hoping to read up on it more and have someone confirm if the following is correct:

SSOT in SAP SolMan means all the documents/objects /configurations are stored in the Business Process Repository (BPR). When a project is setup and business scenario/processes/steps are added, instead of physically adding the documentation to the project the documentation is linked from the BPR, correct? This way, any updates done to that document are propagated through the SAP system to each project that has that document linked, right?
and if a project requires new information not in the BPR, the information should be put into the BPR and than linked to the project instead of adding it to the project directly. Is this correct?

Thank you in advance!

Re: Note to Payee Fields from Recipient Perspective (vendor bank)

Hi Susan,

You’re right when you say that bank controls those details on statement to some extent. Yet, the key thing to me in your post is that your test was done with employee (checking?) account and not with so to speak B2B payment. Content of personal banking statements usually fully driven by bank, you can add some little things but not much.  On the other hand commercial banking normally gives you much more possibilities on their platforms in terms of seeing simply much more information related to a particular transaction. I’d suggest to do a small test with a friendly vendor who uses commercial banking.

Re: Affordable Care Act (ACA)

Hello All,

We are trying to collect data with transaction HRBENUS_ACA_PERSON.  The problem we are encountering is that all employees are extracted, both current employees and terminated.  Terminated employees are pulled because they are in employee group 1 (active).  In our system, terminated employees are distinguished by the employee status withdrawn (table P0000, field STAT2) and we do not wish to create forms for terminated employees.

I would expect SAP to offer the parameter option employment status as part of the selection screen.  Could this be added?

Best regards,

Janice

I am not able to remove the Jan & Feb periods.  So I have no choice but to create 10 months from March to December.

The big problem is the budget scenario.  SAP won't let me create a new budget scenario for March to December.

Re: Switching roles

Hello Diana,

There is no switch between roles like you mentioned. Whatever the authorizations are given to users they can use those authorizations whenever they want. They donot need anything like switch etc.

SAP Authorization concept is not so. SAP authorizations rely on "Authorization Objects and their field values". Roles are only groups of authorization objects. They make the authorization concept simpler and maintenance easier. They are just for appearence.

SAP looks at whole authorizations.

Here is a script from training book.

"

When a user logs on to a client of an SAP system, his or her authorizations are loaded in the user context. The user context is in the user buffer (in the main memory, query using transaction SU56) of the application server.

When the user calls a transaction, the system checks whether the user has an authorization in the user context that allows him or her to call the selected transaction.

...

All authorizations are permissions. There are no authorizations for prohibiting. Everything that is not explicitly allowed is forbidden. You could describe this as a “positive authorization concept”.

"

So users can use all authorizations whenever they wants.

You can only restrict the usage of roles' transactions by unassigning the role from them.

Hello,

I'm trying to install Business Objects 4.1 SP06 and at the end of the installation i receive the message that the installation encountered errors.

When checking the CCM no SIA is available and I don't have the service in Services.

When i check in the setupengine.log i see the following errors :

No suitable enterprise nodes could be found (FWM 23066)

ERROR: Could not reach CMS 'IICTYISAWB002:6400'. Specify the correct host and port and check for network issues. (FWM 20030)

What is strange that the ODBC that I created for the connection to the database is working well.

My server : Windows Server 2012 R2

Database : SQL Server

Can someone help me with this problem ?

Regards,

Marc.
